My character, Clarisse, perfect society would be allowed to read books. They would be able to read and look at books when ever they pleased. Books would not be burned. She would also like teenagers to be more interactive with each other and actually talk to each other.
My perfect society would be where everyone got along. I know that is cliché, but its true. I also would like education to be based on your level of learning and not the certain required classes. I also feel like school should teach us how to make it in the world, not how to read the periodic table and how to solve a polynomial.

Utopian vs. Dystopian
Faber's idea of a utopian society would be something like people having more freedom, especially with books. If people want to read and retain information they should be able to. Faber also thinks that people are too involved in the walls and aren't focusing on real world problems. A perfect balance for Faber would be more reading and learning, with little use of technology. Montag says, "I can't talk to the walls because they're yelling at me, I can't talk to my wife; she listens to the walls." This shows that people in this society are so involved in technology. My idea of a perfect society would involve technology, but not have it take over too much. Books would be allowed, but not pressured. Peoples relationships would be true and real, unlike how they are presented in Fahrenheit 451.
prompt #4

I don't understand how my character thinks that his body can't control itself. Like when he killed Beatty, he said that his hands had a mind of their own and he is stupid enough to when he doesn't know that his brain controls everything I think that his utopia is everyone has the ability to read anything they want and do when what they want. My utopia is gender and race equality and anyone and everyone has they ability to do anything legal without an repercussions like opinions.

Beatty 4th Post
I am confused on my character. He willingly asked to die and took it "Go ahead now, you second-hand literature, pull the trigger." (Bradbury 121). So he clearly wasn't happy, but I don't feel he would necessarily like a world without books, but I also don't think he would like a world full of literatures. I feel Beatty's Utopia would be like America today. He would have the choice of if he wanted to read or not or if he wanted to burn things. My idea of a Utopia would be a place where everyone could do whatever they wanted without money, without government, and without responsibilities. All of this of course would have to be with people who would never think of killing, stealing, raping, etc.
Beatty 3rd post
I seem alright on the outside. Leader of the Firemen and all. I have wanted to die for so long. I finally got the chance. I knew Montag in all his mixed feelings could do something rash. He gave me the chance to end it when he aimed the flame thrower at me. I got him aggravated by saying "Go ahead now, you second-hand literature, pull the trigger." (Bradbury 121) After more small talk he finally ended me. Relief of life was tantalizing.

If you really knew me and how i am drawn to the flame and how i think it's "a pleasure to burn" (Bradbury 7) like when i burned Beatty and thoguht about how we "never burned it right" (Bradbury 121) then proceeded to burn him to ashes.

If You Really Knew Me
Hello, as you know my name is Faber, I used to be an English professor. I don't like being around other people. For the most part I just stay in my house and keep to myself. This quote, "...his eyes touched on the book under Montag's arm and he did not look so old any more and not quite as fragile", shows that I am an older man that really shows a passion for books. This is why I stay inside my house, because the rest of the town doesn't understand books the way I do. They all think that books are just a waste of time and should be destroyed. The people in this town are ignorant and unaware.
3.
I think if Montag or even some of my friends knew the real me I don't think they would truly like me for who I am. They don't really like me but maybe who I pretend to be
I have a feeling that montag already doesn't like me, maybe because i spend more time and have a better connection with my other family (parlor family) than i ever will with him. i dnot think he could even handle the real me. always hiding behind a smile never really expressing my true colors, but then again why? whats the point of that.... there is none not now at least.

Dear Mildred
Dear Mildred,
I know that you don't like these books and how they over my lives. These books need to be shared with the world. Even if this makes use lose the next war, we have to share these books with the world. Faber and I will start to print these books and give them to the world to start anew world.
Sincerely, Montag

Can you believe that happened?
Dear Montag,
I'm very pleased that you have come to me for help on how to understand what you're reading. I will help you, but you must know that I am a coward. I am willing to help you but I will not leave the comfort of my home. I've been locked in my house for as long as I can remember. It makes me feel safe from the terrible outside world we have. I've been working on something. Its a two way radio, so I can still talk to you and hear what you hear. I hope our plan works and it doesn't cause us too many problems...
Sincerely,
Faber

Can you beleive that happened?
Dear Montag,
I heard about the lady on Elm street that caught her house on fire! Do you know what happened? I heard about it and I also heard she had a lot of... books. Is it true? I know people are not allowed to have books, but why did she have them? I can't believe she was willing to die with her books. I honestly wish I was there to see it. I know it sounds mean but I really do wish I was there to see books in real life.
Sincerely,
Clarisse

Montag Intro
My name is Montag. I'm am a fireman that likes to burn books and the houses that I find them in. But that is acceptable in this current world. Then, I met a strange girl named Clarisse. She seems quite odd, but in a good way. A sort of way that might change the world. Then my wife tries to commit suicide and can't remember and i've started to read books. So now i don't know how to live my life, seeing the world from a different perspective due to these strange books.
Beatty
I am the Captain of the fire department. As you probably know we burn all the books just for you. Keeping you happy is our job and we do a pretty good job of it. We keep you happy by keeping you in the dark on everything. Books contain knowledge, knowledge makes opinions, opposing opinions create conflict and conflict creates anger and stress. Keeping books away from you is like keeping you happy and stress free.

Meet My Character
6 Things You Should Know About...
Me, Ray Bradbury...
1. I'm an AuthorI'm a full time author. I've wrote the stories... A Sound of Thunder, The Pedestrian, Fahrenheit 451, The Veldt, All Summer in a Day, and Tomorrow's Child.
2. I've Been Writing Since the Age of 14
Writing has always been a passion of mine. I've enjoyed it ever since we began writing in grade school. It makes me feel like I have all the freedom in the world. I got my first job when I was 14 yeas old, it was actually to write for George Burns and Gracie Allen’s radio show.
3. I Got Married at the Age of 22
Her name was Maggie, she worked in a book store. It was the first girlfriend that I had ever had. We ended up dating for a long time. Now we are happily married and have 4 children together.
4. I Don't Believe in Cars
I don't have a drivers license and I never have. Once I witnessed a terrible car crash when I was only 16 years old. After the incident I was scarred, so I just decided to not drive. Cars are the most dangerous thing in our society, they kill more than wars do.
5. Fahrenheit 451
I wrote this story in the basement of the UCLA library on a rented typewriter. I chose the name of the book because book paper burns at the temperature of 451 degrees Fahrenheit.
6. When I Die
When I die I wish to have my ashes put in a Campbell's Tomato Soup can and then planted on Mars. Or possibly somewhere where my fans can visit me. Maybe I could have a tomb stone with all of the names of my books on it..
